Abstract: The focus of this survey is on the progress made in providing counselling services within schools in each of the ELBs. Between February and May 2005, the Inspectorate visited all of the ELBs and interviewed Senior Education Officers and other personnel involved in the provision of counselling services in schools. A wide range of supporting documentation was provided by each ELB. In one ELB, a meeting was held with a group of seven designated teachers, who had liaison responsibility for counselling services in their schools.
